Aaron Ausland, CCM
Chief Executive Officer
Aaron leads Ausland’s strategic vision and oversight of our senior management team. He is the only Certified Program Manager in Southern Oregon and plays and important role in the organization and programming of Ausland’s capital improvement and capital campaign endeavors.
Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Oregon State University, majoring in construction engineering management. He minored in business studies.
He is a member of the Southern Oregon Angel Investors Network, University Liaison for Oregon Chapter of Construction Management Association of America, member of Rotary International, and member of the board of directors of Josephine County Education Foundation.
Fun Fact: Enjoys cooking interesting ethnic foods and likes to fish.
Kelsy Ausland, PE
President, Principal Engineer
Kelsy leads land development and engineering endeavors while overseeing the daily operations of Ausland Group. She is licensed to practice engineering in Oregon and California and is a LEED-Green Associate.
Kelsy graduated with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. Kelsy also studied environmental engineering at the University of Nottingham in Great Britain, and Spanish in Ecuador. She was distinguished by her alma mater with the 2010 Oregon Stater Award for “Outstanding Early Career Achievement.”
Kelsy is President of the board of directors for Kairos (formerly SOASTC) and is on the board of directors for Britt Festivals.
Fun Fact: Likes to spend weekends in her Airstream exploring remote places.
Zack Secrest
In memory of
We forever hold in memory, our former Vice President of Operations, Zack Secrest. He passed away in his sleep on November 27th, 2012 from complications with epilepsy.
Zack motivated our team to achieve extraordinary project and individual success. During his six years at Ausland he helped accomplish spectacular growth and success on Southern Oregon’s top projects. He was our friend, a mentor, a colleague, and had become family to many of us.
In his personal life, Zack was a member of the BMX community for over 30 years, racing at BMX tracks throughout the U.S. and Canada. He was a fierce competitor and mentor to many in the racing community.
We move forward grateful for six years we spent with Zack, and are dedicated to accomplishing extraordinary success in his legacy.

Project Engineer
Now a leader in project engineering and communication coordination, he was a carpenter for eight years before studying civil engineering at Portland State University.
Fun Fact: He was captain of the PSU concrete canoe team.
Alan Harper
Development Specialist
Alan’s experience as a top land use attorney in Southern Oregon lends to his gift for turning the most difficult development challenges into successful outcomes.
Fun Fact: Early in his career, Alan moonlighted selling wine at Jacksonville Inn.
Alan Noble
Superintendent
The consummate “people person.” He loves helping others and excels at bringing out the best in those around him – an outstanding trait in a project leader.
Fun Fact: Former director of a Boys and Girls Club.
Bill McMillan
Superintendent
A Renaissance Man. Spectacular at crew management in the field, he works tirelessly ensuring that projects run smoothly.
Fun Fact: Recently finished project management of the Southern Oregon Wine Institute and is now a Oregon wine fan.
Bob Humphreys
Foreman
As a journeyman carpenter with more than 20 years experience, he ensures excellence in the quality of our carpentry.
Fun Fact: He enjoys building furniture.
Bradley Miller, EIT
Project Engineer
A creative engineer focused on finding solutions. His diligent focus plays an important role in keeping projects running smoothly.
Fun Fact: He enjoys playing the trombone, traveling as far as Japan as part of a wind ensemble group!
Dan Finch
Project Manager
He leads labor crews and also manages many of the on-site details of large construction projects, including three VA hospital buildings.
Fun Fact: He was senior class president at LaPine High School.
Darrin Kerr
Foreman
As a loyal employee with Ausland for the past 7 years Darrin brings his enthusiasm and experience in all areas of construction as leader that works well with all that he meets.

Dawn Kompaniet
Administrative Assistant
Dawn greets visitors with a positive attitude and welcoming smile. She has over 20 years of administrative experience, and appreciates the diversity of tasks and personalities that are a part of her daily work.
Fun Fact: Enjoys exploring the outdoors by snowmobile or boat.
Donald Baldwin
Carpenter
As a journeyman carpenter Donny sets high goals for himself and brings his varied knowledge of construction to the Ausland team.
Fun Fact: Enjoys great adventures camping with his family in remote areas.
Frank Moore
Foreman
As a Journeyman carpenter for the past 12 years and 20+ years in construction Frank brings his vast knowledge in concrete and commercial framing to the Ausland team.
Fun Fact: Frank loves the outdoors and is currently building an off-road Samurai to use as a Rock crawler and to help him get to remote areas to explore Panning for Gold.
Jay Stine
Superintendent
He is a diligent and detailed-oriented supervisor who excels with challenging projects. He is a student of the building code and a certified construction inspector.
Fun Fact: His hobby is mountaineering.
Jeanette Blankenship
Administrative Coordinator
She’s been running a professional office for over twenty years. Her clockwork-like reliability keeps our team efficient and effective.
Fun Fact: Involved in scouting for over 30 years.
Jim Davis
Lead Carpenter
He can tackle any project in the field that needs a solution. While usually serious and focused, occasionally he will smile when he’s demolishing walls and bricks.
Fun Fact: Smoking meat or chicken for cooking.

He is a third generation carpenter and an early adopter of most cutting edge techniques and tools. He excels at complex facilities such as medical buildings.
Fun Fact: A member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, he is an outdoorsman and conservationist.
Ken Wilcox
Project Manager
Ken brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to every project. He is known for exceptional collaboration with owners and design teams.
Fun Fact: Ken’s daughter Kimberly worked for Ausland through high school!

Project Engineer
Kevin is full of enthusiasm for life and for our industry. Smart and organized, he won’t rest until each project runs like clockwork.

He has been a journeyman carpenter for more than 30 years and is a bit of a perfectionist – well suited for finish carpentry.

As the rock behind our financial controls, he sets the standard for outstanding attention to detail and hard work.

Sean Hamelin
Foreman
He has more than 25 years of commercial construction experience. Sean excels at coordinating all elements of a project – from the kick-off meeting to the punch list.
Fun Fact: He and his wife try to spend the 4th of July in different locations each year.

An outstanding leader of design teams, Todd has a passion for providing exceptional outcomes. His wide range of experience leading local and global projects makes him the rock of our engineering team.
