Aaron Ausland, CCM
CEO, Principal Program+ Construction Manager
As the leader of Ausland’s long-term strategic planning, Aaron plays an important role in the organization and programming of capital improvement and capital campaign endeavors. He is the only Certified Program/Construction Manager in Southern Oregon and one of just seven in the state.
Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Oregon State University, majoring in construction engineering management. He minored in business studies.
He serves as a member of the board of directors of SOREDI, member of the board of directors of Josephine County Education Fund, University Liaison for Oregon Chapter of Construction Management Association of America, and a member of Rotary International.
Fun Fact: Enjoys cooking interesting ethnic foods and likes to fish.
Kelsy Ausland, PE
President, Principal Engineer
Kelsy leads land development and engineering endeavors while overseeing the daily operations of Ausland Group. She is licensed to practice engineering in Oregon and California and is a LEED-Green Associate.
Kelsy graduated with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. Kelsy also studied environmental engineering at the University of Nottingham in Great Britain, and Spanish in Ecuador. She was distinguished by her alma mater with the 2010 Oregon Stater Award for “Outstanding Early Career Achievement.”
Kelsy is President of the board of directors for Kairos (formerly SOASTC) and is on the board of directors for Britt Festivals.
Fun Fact: Likes to spend weekends in her Airstream exploring remote places.
Dawn Kompaniet
Administrative Assistant
Dawn greets visitors with a positive attitude and welcoming smile. She has over 20 years of administrative experience in construction and related fields, and appreciates the diversity of tasks and personalities that are a part of her daily work.
Fun Fact: Depending on the season, she enjoys exploring the outdoors by snowmobile or boat.
Todd Powell, PE
Director of Engineering
An outstanding leader of design teams, Todd has a passion for providing exceptional outcomes. His wide range of experience leading local and global projects makes him the rock of our engineering team.
Fun Fact: Enjoys white water rafting with his wife and three children.
Tyson Massey
Civil Engineering Technician
Tyson continually goes the extra mile to create the highest quality design documents for our projects. Always with a good-natured smile, he enjoys accepting new challenges.
Fun Fact: It’s hard to keep up with him when he’s driving his classic muscle car or Harley motorcycle.
Nick Bakke, PE
Civil Engineer
An experienced engineer with a knack for relating to clients, he excels at seeing paths to solutions, and is fun to work with.
Fun Fact: In college he was a PAC-10 Javelin champion.
Tony Bakke, PE
Civil Engineer
A conscientious engineer who is passionate and knowledgeable about utility design. His outstanding relationships with public works departments make him an important part of our team.

Matt Bladek
Project Engineer
He is analytical yet quite creative about new ideas. His diligent focus plays an important role in keeping projects running smoothly.

Jeanette Blankenship
Administrative Coordinator
She’s been running a professional office for over twenty years. Her clockwork-like reliability keeps our team efficient and effective.
