Medford begins renovating water treatment plant

MEDFORD, Ore. – The renovation of Medford’s water treatment plant is underway, designed to improve the facility’s water quality and emergency preparedness.

The project to renovate the Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant started about two weeks ago, and is expected cost about $1.6 million. The Medford Water Commission awarded the contract to Ausland Construction Firm.

The company will renovate 16,000 square feet of the existing control facility. The project is expected to last several months.
