A WIN-WIN FOR PUBLIC RADIO AND A COMMUNITY

A local businessman owned a vacant, historically significant building.  Following years of watching the building sit idle, his staff contacted Ausland Group to discover a meaningful use of the property for the betterment of the community.

After consideration of options, a decision was made to donate the property to a nonprofit organization.  The perfect recipient was found in Jefferson Public Radio’s JPR Foundation.  JPR jumped at the opportunity to relocate all of their operations to the heart of Medford.

Ausland Group is serving as program/construction manager leading the design, regulatory approval, and construction effort.

WIN-WIN

Upon the project’s completion:

  • Jefferson Public Radio will have all of its operations housed in an impressive LEED-Certified, historic, building, reaping the benefits of matching donations equivalent to the value of the initial donation, to kick-start their capital campaign.
  •  The City of Medford will proudly display a significant asset – an occupied and restored building that is on the Historic Register.
