Project purpose was to improve the efficiency of the plant’s water reclamation process. Work included doubling the diffuser capacity of the aeration basin; modifications to primary sedimentation basins; new slide gates; new downward opening weir gates; air header upgrades; new submersible mixer; and new sluice gates to facilitate bypass capabilities. Project included a temporary bypass with pumping capacity of over 25 million gallons per day.

The objective of the project was to modernize and increase the capacity of influent pumping and screenings processes. The influent pumping system was modernized with a new pumping system capable of pumping 41 million gallons of waste water per day – tripling the plant’s intake capacity. Work also included new slide gates at head works, new screening structure and new auger grit conveyor system.

Seismic renovation to the Rogue Valley’s water supply facility to protect the integrity of the region’s water supply in the event of an earthquake. The plant has the capacity to produce 45 million gallons per day, and controls the valley’s domestic water supply and delivery network, including a network of pumping stations and 12 reservoirs.
