Built in 1910 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Wallowa County Courthouse is the heart of the small northeastern Oregon city of Enterprise. Phase one which included seismic upgrades for fire/life safety, asbestos abatement, reroofing and creation of custom shingle-style siding for the ornate dormers. For the second phase of the project, Ausland performed both design and construction. This phase included installing an elevator at the core of the building which required moving walls, creating new openings, building new structural partitions and excavating sections of the basement.
