Jared is the second oldest of five kids. He was born in Hawaii, but has spent most of his life in Oregon. He is married with four children. Three girls and a boy.
Jared began his career in construction in 1984 where he started out as a concrete finisher working for a local contractor during the summers while in high school. After high school he went on to get his degree in construction management. Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous types of projects including commercial and heavy civil projects in Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Guam, working on both private and public projects, including ODOT, Dept. of Defense, and various state and local agencies.
One of his passions is coaching. He coached football, volleyball, and baseball at the high school level for more than a decade. He still enjoys being able to help others grow, whether it be personally or professionally, and helping others develop and acquire new skills. He looks forward to opportunities to use his coaching skills and knowledge of developing individuals to help grow those with whom he works.
In his spare time, he likes to explore the outdoors, work out, spend time with his family, read and work on projects around the house. He loves a broad range of music, both listening and playing. He plays the piano, guitar and drums. A bucket list item of his is to tour southeast Asia
