If there ever was a year that demanded attention to safety, it was 2020.
Congratulations to Charlotte Hintz, PHR, CSHM, Ausland’s Head of People Success, for being recognized by the construction industry’s leading publication, the Daily Journal of Commerce. Charlotte was recently awarded the Hard Hat Safety Award by DJC Oregon.
Charlotte worked in the Texas oil industry for 13 years prior to joining Ausland, and advocates for the men and women out in the field every day. She is passionate about the safety and advancement of each employee. “Charlotte’s passion for helping people is what drew us to bringing her to Ausland,” said Ausland President, Kelsy Ausland. “She has that rare mix of attention to detail required for human resources, as well as the ability to connect with every employee at Ausland.”
Ausland Group specializes in complex commercial projects, often new construction on occupied campuses or the renovation of historic buildings. Every worksite in commercial construction can be rewarding and safe if managed correctly. Charlotte attributes her success at Ausland to the ability to actively listen. “Being assertive about the importance of cleaning schedules and the use of PPE has been instrumental in navigating construction during the COVID pandemic,” Hintz remarked. When asked about the key to Charlotte’s success, Kelsy Ausland said, “She has earned the respect and trust of our field staff, office staff, and clients. Those things have a lot to do with People Success.”
In her people success role, Charlotte was also instrumental in fostering employee satisfaction which resulted in Ausland Group being named one of Oregon’s Top 100 Companies to Work For.
