Family Heritage to Unique Evolution leads to 75 Years of Success

2022 marks the milestone of 75 years of business excellence at Ausland. Celebrating a diamond anniversary is always exciting, but even more so when it centers around building community for all those years. The three generations of consistent, local leadership starting with Bill Ausland and now Aaron and Kelsy Ausland, have been the key to the company’s advancement, longevity, and success. The family legacy is at the heart of what makes Ausland Group soar.

The Ausland family has been a staple in the Southern Oregon business world since 1947 when Bill Ausland founded Ausland-Dodson Engineering and Surveying. Through the years, the firm gained a reputation for integrity and ingenuity as a premiere partner within the community. Today, the company has evolved into Ausland Group, led by Aaron and Kelsy Ausland who have taken the roots of the original business concept and modernized it to a technically adept and award-winning firm offering clients state-of-the-art construction and design services. Aaron Ausland, CEO of Ausland Group, describes it best, “We have built a platform to help clients in profound ways. Aaron found his passion for construction and engineering early on when he joined his father on project site visits. The excitement from that front row view led him to Oregon State University College of Engineering and met Kelsy, his partner in business and life. Following graduation, they made their home in Southern Oregon where Aaron and Kelsy saw the opportunity to craft a unique business model that blended the foundation of Ausland’s construction heritage with their engineering and project management talents.

They have developed a prosperous, professional culture which is evident in the team they have recruited and the environment in which they work. Ausland delivers great outcomes for clients by creating a holistic minded company with problem solving at its core. While other contractors are focused on volume of work, Ausland Group focuses on helping clients achieve their vision.
