The 4,700 square foot facility on Foundry Street will house those under the influence for up to 24 hours, freeing up hospital and jail beds.
The private and state funded sobering center is a few years in the making. It will finally open it’s doors in late February. The center will be able to house up to twelve patients at a time.
It will cost between 250,000 and 350,000 dollars to run annually.
